'Miracles Have Ceased.'
Have They Indeed? When?
They Had Not Ceased This Afternoon When I Walked
Into the Wood and Got Into Bright, Miraculous Sunshine,
In Shelter From The Roaring Wind.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor( LPC) of Georgia, who has been in private practice since 1995. In addition, I taught as an Assistant Professor for a Community Mental Health Counselor graduate training program for 12 years and I have been a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor(CPCS) in Georgia since 2013.
In 2001, I started the Atlanta North Center for Change (ANCC) with my colleague Dr. Mary Kate Reese, in Roswell, GA. My approach to working with clients is described as integrative. I am well-trained in a variety of theoretical models including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and person-centered/existential models of change. This allows me to assess and treat the whole person versus just specific symptoms.
My main goal for all clients is to help them improve and maintain their quality of life and ability to adapt to the demands of daily living. I come from a strength- based perspective which honors that all individuals, regardless of problems or symptoms, have the capacity to persevere and an inherent desire towards growth.
