ABOUT ME
​
​I am a Licensed Professional Counselor(LPC) of Georgia and have been in private practice since 1995. In addition, I taught as an Assistant Professor for a Community Mental Health Counselor graduate training program for 12 years and I have been a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor(CPCS) in Georgia since 2013. I currently work as the Evening IOP coordinator for The Summit Wellness Group, a substance abuse treatment center in Roswell, GA.

My approach to working with clients is described as integrative. I am well-trained in a variety of theoretical models including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and person-centered/existential models of change. This allows me to assess and treat the whole person versus just specific symptoms. I am currently pursuing certification in Attachment Focused EMDR and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).
My main goal for all clients is to help them improve and maintain their quality of life and ability to adapt to the demands of daily living. I come from a strength-based perspective which honors that all individuals, regardless of problems or symptoms, have the capacity to persevere and an inherent desire towards growth.

Payment Options
I collect payment on the date of the session via, cash, check or Venmo (Mary-Gay-15) or Zelle at the phone number above. I can provide a statement of services to provide to your insurance company if out-of-network benefits exist. I am not currently a contracted provider with any insurance panels.
